Your Assurance of Quality Child & Adolescent Behavior Programs

Nexus is accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) for full and continuous accreditation for the period of May, 2010, through May, 2014. Initially fully accredited by COA in May, 1998, Nexus successfully achieved full reaccreditation status again in May, 2002, and yet again in May, 2006.

COA partners with human service organizations worldwide to improve service delivery outcomes by developing, applying, and promoting accreditation standards. COA envisions excellence in the delivery of human services globally, resulting in the well-being of individuals, families, and communities.

The value and credibility of COA accreditation are formally recognized in more than 100 distinct instances in 44 states, the District of Columbia, and British Columbia, Canada. The Department of Family and Children's Services (DCFS) in Illinois is COA accredited and requires all residential agencies with whom they contract to be COA certified.

Woodbourne Center in Baltimore, MD, is accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC), an independent nonprofit that accredits and certifies U.S. programs that demonstrate a commitment to meeting high performance standards and quality of care.

Mille Lacs Academy, Gerard Academy, Onarga Academy, Indian Oaks Academy, and Woodbourne Center are all Medicaid certified.
