Nexus lost its lease on the original facility in Minnetonka, Minnesota in 1991 and found an alternative location in a closed Catholic Crosier seminary 75 miles north of Minneapolis in Onamia, Minnesota. In a six-month period the Nexus Adult programs were closed and the adolescents moved to the newly named Mille Lacs Academy in Onamia.
