JOB DESCRIPTION: Teach students with emotional and behavior disorders within a non-public, year-round school setting for grades 2-12, operated in conjunction with a residential treatment facility for children and adolescents. Responsibilities include creating a positive and supportive classroom climate, engaging in a variety of instructional techniques and behavior management strategies that insure effective implementation of student IEP's, administering lesson plans, providing instruction on assigned subject areas, and providing crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a valid Minnesota Teaching License. Special Education licensure and previous applicable classroom teaching experience preferred. Must possess a valid driver license and acceptable driving record, must be 21 years of age or older, and must pass a criminal background check, pre-employment physical and driver's record check.
