Teacher, Substitute

STATUS: On-call

JOB DESCRIPTION: Teach students with emotional and behavior disorders within a private year-round school setting, operated in conjunction with a residential treatment facility for adolescents. Responsibilities include creating a positive and supportive classroom climate, engaging in a variety of instructional techniques and behavior management strategies that insure effective implementation of student IEP's, administer lesson plans, provide instruction on assigned subject areas, and provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or GED; Related experience preferred; Must be 21 years of age or older and possess a valid driver license and acceptable driving record; Requires the ability to work a flexible work schedule, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance, and the ability to twist, bend and stretch in a manner conducive to execution of daily activities within a residential treatment center.
