Family Therapist

STATUS: Full-time

JOB DESCRIPTION: Provide assessments for evaluation and treatment planning for children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral problems and sexual offending behavior. Responsibilities also include providing individual, group and family therapy; participating in and coordinating services with internal treatment teams; communicating with legal, education and social service entities as needed, participating in resident discharge and aftercare planning; and conducting in-service staff training as needed on therapy techniques and application.

QUALIFICATIONS: Masters Degree in psychology, social work or clinically related discipline. Two years experience in related field preferred. LMFT, LICSW or equivalent state designation for a Licensed Social Worker at a Master level. Requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends and be on-call when needed. Must be able to assist in proper restraining of residents, be able lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100+ pounds with assistance and be able to twist, bend and stretch in a manner conducive to the execution of daily activities within a residential program.
