Unit Coordinator

STATUS: Full-time

JOB DESCRIPTION: Provide leadership to direct care staff through effective communication, organization and planning of daily operations of the program/unit. Provide structure and supervision of the daily operations of the program/unit to insure successful coordination and implementation of each resident's daily treatment services. Participate as a multi-disciplinary team member in developing and implementing resident treatment plans and strategies. Assist the Clinical Supervisor in the selection, training, on-going professional development and performance evaluation of staff/team members. Manage and monitor the program milieu and collaborate with co-workers to ensure an emotionally and physically safe environment for residents and one that is positive, respectful, clean and therapeutic. Perform other job and work-related responsibilities, tasks and projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a social work, psychology or clinically related field. Minimum of 3 years adolescent counseling and/or residential treatment experience required, plus one year of supervisory experience preferred. Must be 21 years of age or older and possess a valid driver license and acceptable driving record; Requires ability to work a flexible work schedule, ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance, and ability to twist, bend and stretch in a manner conducive to execution of daily activities within a residential treatment center.
