Teacher, Substitute

STATUS: On-call

JOB DESCRIPTION: Teach students with emotional and behavior disorders within a private year-round school setting, operated in conjunction with a residential treatment facility for adolescents. Responsibilities include creating a positive and supportive classroom climate, engaging in a variety of instructional techniques and behavior management strategies that insure effective implementation of student IEP's, administer lesson plans, provide instruction on assigned subject areas, and provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS: Illinois Type 03 or 09 Teacher's Certification and/or approval to teach in a specific content area required, out of state comparable certification accepted, previous applicable classroom teaching experience preferred.
